National Symposium on Elder Psychological Wellness 2024
The National Symposium on Elder Psychological Care [NSEPC] is a biennial event that Charista Foundation pioneered in 2022 at CCI, New Delhi, presided by Ambassador Dr. Deepak Vohra. The event intends to raise awareness on the importance of elder psychological care amongst public, corporate as well as the government domains, and across all age groups.
At Charista Foundation, in addition to elder psychological care, we also adress the wellness of artisans who create artefacts (handlooms) that are lost in time by giving them technical help, time-warped designs and marketing support. Presently, we are working towards adopting an artisan community in Telangana.

International Long-Term Care Conference
Since 1998 we have been organizing the international long-term care provider’s meeting known as the International Long-Term Care Conference. The program includes the conference for the long-term care institution’s management, and the medical and terapheutical staff of social assistance institutions. It also includes a symposium for the medical staff working in hospitals. It is the only scientific event in Poland devoted to long-term care, gathering almost a thousand participants from all over Europe each year. These people are the leaders in their fields of activity, who put much effort in making the society and the government aware of how important is the development of long-term care in the world, especially when we are facing the phenomenon of societies growing old. Thanks to those people more is spoken of providing professional help to those in need. Taking part in the meeting of professionals allows sharing experiences, discussion on the model of long-term care and the standards of provided services in many different countries in Europe. It is possible to follow the examples and use solutions which bring positive effects in the institutions all over Europe. The Conference takes place each year in September.
Venue
The Bangalore International Centre (BIC) is structured as a Non-Profit Institution of Members. BIC is registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960. It was founded in November 2005 to enhance dialogue and foster ideas across cultures, religions, regions, societies and economies.
BIC was inaugurated by Former President of India, the Late Abdul Kalam. The Energy Resources Institute (TERI) has hosted BIC since its inception till end 2018.
In 2019, BIC completed the construction of its new building. This 48,000 sq feet, GRIHA compliant premises has been made possible with the generous support from Donors and ~ 1100 Members (Individual, Institution, Corporate).
BIC’s vision was framed by a group of like-minded civic leaders, educators, professionals, government officials, artists, academics and thinkers, who felt that Bengaluru deserved an institution that encouraged the intellect, facilitated an open dialogue and stimulated the senses.
